The Sussex Eye Center Doctors
Dr. Carl Maschauer graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Bio Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1982, and began his private practice in Georgetown. He is the President of the State Board of Optometry. He has served as President of the Delaware Optometric Association and Chairman of the Statutory Scope Committee for the American Optometric Association. He is a member and past President of the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club and Georgetown Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Jeff Hilovsky graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in 1983. He was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship from the Air Force and served 11 years on active duty before joining Dr. Maschauer in private practice. He retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Colonel and Commander of the 512 Aerospace Medicine Squadron. He is a past President of the Delaware Optometric Association and the Selbyville Lions Club. He is a member of the Sussex County Easter Seals Advisory Board and is active in his church.
Dr. Hayley Sprague graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana School of Optometry in 2003. Dr. Sprague additionally completed a residency in corneal disease and contact lenses in 2004 from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Sprague is a member of the American Optometric Association and is also the chair of the Delaware Optometric Association Political Action Committee. Dr. Sprague is an active member of the Millsboro Kiwanis. Dr. Sprague is accepting patients at all four Sussex Eye Center locations in Georgetown, Long Neck, Selbyville, and Lewes.
Dr. Aimee Parker completed her residency at the Memphis VA Hospital in primary eye care with a focus in geriatrics and ocular disease following her graduation from Southern College of Optometry. She was born & raised in Georgetown and is enjoying practicing in her hometown. She graduated with honors from Salisbury University with a BS in chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry & a minor in Biology. Dr. Parker is a member of the AOA and is also very active in her church. Dr. Parker is accepting patients at three of the Sussex Eye Center locations: Georgetown, Long Neck, and Selbyville.
Dr. Michael Rebarchik graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hartwick College with a degree in Physics. He received a bachelor's degree in Vision Science as well as his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, in which he graduated with Honors. After graduation he completed a residency in cornea and specialty contact lenses from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Dr. Rebarchik is a member of the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. He is also a member and past President of Nova Southeastern University's chapter of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
