Eye Didn't Know That link
Our eye doctors strongly recommend an eye exam for all ages. The testing of children's vision is especially important as children do not always realize they are not seeing well. The American Optometric Association recommends a comprehensive eye examination at ages six months, three years, and before beginning school. Clear vision and early detection of eye conditions which may adversely affect your child's learning is a top priority at Sussex Eye Center.

Adults also require yearly eye examinations to monitor for development of eye diseases like cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other age related diseases. Certain eye diseases do not have any symptoms until the disease has caused significant irreversible damage. Early detection and treatment is crucial. It is especially important for people with diabetes to have yearly eye exams, as diabetes is one of the leading causes of blindness.
